<p>After upgrading MySQL using package management, you may encounter this problem:</p> <p>error while loading shared libraries: libmysqlclient.so.15: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory</p> <p>That maybe because you just upgraded from MySQL 5.0 to 5.1. Normally, the existing libmysqlclient.so.15 is left alone while the installer installed libmysqlclient.so.16. But maybe your sysadmin removed it or when other packages got uninstalled, it got uninstalled as well.</p> <p>To reinstall libmysqlclient.so.15 on Ubuntu:<em> <span style="font-size: medium;">sudo apt-get install libmysqlclient15-dev</span></em></p>

<p>Locate is a handy tool that fuzzy search files and directories.</p> <p>On Ubuntu Karmic, locate is NOT under findutils NOR slocate package.</p> <p>It is under mlocate. <p>Congratulations to FreeCol team for eaching version 0.9 alpha!</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>FreeCol is open source adaptation of <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sid_Meier%27s_Colonization" target="_blank">Sid Meier's Colonization</a> game, first released in 1994.</p> <p>It has grown beyond just a port to a complete re-write of the game engine (using java) and assets. <p>First of, Dropbox is AWESOME! I'm using it for personal backup. Their product is simple and to the point.</p> <p>For my educational purpose, I wonder if I could create a clone of dropbox.
